Advanced Electrical Troubleshooting
Advanced Electrical Troubleshooting (AET) is a 3-day class designed to give techs who've completed the FET class a chance to expand their abilities through more complex problems. AET is NOT a "high-tech" class; rather than focusing on newer electronics, AET focuses on the mental aspects of troubleshooting. Learning how to manage the troubleshooting process is s important as knowing how to read a meter.
Target Audience
Technicians who have completed FET, or those who are technically mature and prepared for the advanced concepts.
What You Need To Bring
Students should bring their digital multimeters and schematics of the trucks, equipment or other systems they work on.

Students construct a highly complicated vehicle system using relays, diodes, magnetic proximity switches, pumps, motors, LEDs, and more. They take turns bugging and diagnosing the 15-circuit system; one fault is placed in the entire system, and students must analyze and isolate the problem with a minimum of effort and the fewest steps possible.
Cost
$425 for the 3-day class.
